Your license key is what connects your MetaTrader 5 platform to our trade copier system. Here's how to set it up.
Where to Find Your License Key
Log into your dashboard at quantumalpha.io. Your license key is displayed prominently at the top. It looks like this: QA-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX.
Copy it. You'll need it in a minute.
Download the Slave EA
We'll email you a direct download link when you subscribe. The file is called QuantumAlpha_Slave.ex5.
Save it to your computer.
Install the Slave EA
Open MetaTrader 5. Go to File → Open Data Folder.
Navigate to MQL5 → Experts. Paste the Slave EA file here.
Restart MT5. The EA should now appear in your Navigator panel under Expert Advisors.
Configure Your License Key
Drag the Slave EA onto any chart (doesn't matter which symbol or timeframe). A settings window will pop up.
Find the License Key field. Paste your license key from the dashboard.
Click OK. The EA will connect to our servers and authenticate.
Verify Connection
Look at the chart. You should see a status panel in the top-left corner showing:
- License Status: ACTIVE
- Connection: CONNECTED
- Strategies: V1, V2, V3 (or your selected strategy)
What Happens Next
Once connected, the Slave EA will start polling our servers for new signals. When the Master EA opens a trade, your Slave EA will copy it within seconds.
You don't need to do anything else. Just leave MT5 running (ideally on a VPS).
